Okay, so I knew that the Disney Company had a few lawyers inside the company, but I had no idea they had THIS many.
According to this Law.com article, Peter Wiley, the head of the legal end of things for Europe, says that Disney has 350 INTERNAL lawyers company wide.
Like HR and other key company wide groups, most of these lawyers according to Wiley are embedded in the specific lines of business. Likewise, like Imagineering, IT and other parts of the organization, they keep the general knowledge and talent INSIDE the company and outsource only specialty work.
It would make Lou Mongello proud.

Wow! That will make you think twice before attempting to take a buck from the mouse! I wonder how many false claims they deal with each year, from "I slipped" to "disney stold my movie idea"... Then again, sometimes they are overly agressive with going after copyright infridgenments at daycares.
That is an amazing number of internal lawyers... While it may be considered indimiation, anyone who even thinkgs of sueing disney should be handed a card with this tid-bit, before they even think of filing a false claim.
Yeah, that's probably why Al Lutz over at MiceAge had a section of his most recent post called 'Can You Hear Me Mickey' talking about how the lawyers have decided to take out the comment cards at Town Hall.
